About the route
This is a Breeze 'Pink Ribbon Tour' ride for Breast Cancer Care taking place during the week of the Women's Tour and celebrating 25 years of the Pink Ribbon, a symbol of hope, strength and unity for everyone affected by breast cancer. We start from the Whitewater Canoe Centre and ride mostly traffic-free to Hardingstone, Hunsbury Country Park, where we can stop at the cafe for coffee and cake, before returning along the canal towpath. The ride is mainly on tarmac paths but with dirt paths through the country park and along the canal.
It’s a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. And please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments at the cafe.
