Ahead of this year’s Women’s Tour, Breeze are delighted to be working with the event’s official charity partner Breast Cancer Care to help them celebrate 25 years of the Pink Ribbon, a symbol of hope, strength and unity for everyone affected by breast cancer. Breeze Champions will be organising their own Pink Ribbon Tour rides across the UK during the Women’s Tour, from Wednesday 7 to Sunday 11 June. This ride is our opportunity to show our support for this great charity and we'd love you come along and join us and wear something pink. We might even have a prize for the 'pinkest' lady and her bike! The route starts at the main entrance of Turton High School. From the school we will start with a testing climb up Chapletown Road passing Turton Tower and then take a left passing St Anne's church and the Chetham Arms pub. We'll then follow Greens Arms Road taking in views of Wayoh and Entwistle reservoirs. The road continues to undulate until we meet up with Blackburn Road and we'll go downhill until we turn onto Longworth Road and up to and across the Reservoir back down Belmont Road to the junction of Blackburn Road and Crompton way turning up Tonge Moor Rd then Turton Rd back to school. The entire route is about 15.5 miles and the ride should take approximately 2 hours. As with all Breeze rides we will always cycle at the pace of the slowest rider and we can guarantee lots of fun and laughter. Please note this ride does Undulate with a couple of challenging climbs so we would recommend some experience on hills, however, we are never to posh to push if a breather is needed! There won't be a cafe stop on this ride, however please remember to bring a drink as we can stop for a quick rest and drink. Helmets must be worn by all under 18s regardless of ride level and are strongly suggested for all riders. Please bring equipment with you to repair punctures, Ride Leaders are there to help but are not responsible for your bike and wear clothes suitable for the weather conditions on the night. PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE WORKING FRONT AND REAR LIGHTS IN CASE WE ARE STILL OUT AS DUSK IS SETTING IN
