*** To make sure we all comply with the current Covid regulations, and keep everyone safe, can you make sure you read ALL the details of the ride description here BEFORE booking & joining the ride
*** Can you make sure you have registered and have an up-to-date phone number on the Letsride website.
Could I also ask that you only book on if you are sure you are going to come. There are fewer rides and smaller groups going out so it would be a shame for someone else to miss out - thank you ***
Starting at Plas Menai we’ll cycle along the Lon Efion cycle path to Dinas Dinlle and return via the Menai Strait foreshore Y Foryd. We’ll make a lunch/ snack stop at Dinas Dinlle (please bring your own snacks). This will be a relaxed small group. If you want to discuss anything please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me :-)
** What to bring:
Drinks for the ride & snacks for a lunch stop
Clothes suitable for the weather
A helmet
Repair kit and spares (inner tube)
Make sure your bike is in good working order with the tyres pumped up before arriving on the ride
COVID-19
Welsh Cycling (WC) have agreed protocols with the Welsh Government in order to comply with the latest Covid-19 guidance & legislation. As a ride leader WC have provided me with Covid specific training so this ride complies with the current regulations, we can keep everyone safe AND have a brilliant time!! I’ve also had to do a covid-specific Risk Assessment for the ride to make sure we keep everything as safe and risk-free as possible.
****** There are a few new procedures we will need to follow on the ride:
1. Please all keep at least 2m apart at the start & finish, while cycling and during any stops we make
2. Practice good hand hygiene and bring your own hand sanitiser or sanitising wipes
3. Avoid sharing equipment, tools, food, water bottles etc.
4. Please come prepared to be self-sufficent on the ride. So this means having your own repair kit & spares (inner tubes) and know how to use them if needed. Or alternatively have someone who could pick you & your bike up from the ride if you have a mechanical failure
5. Please make sure your bike is roadworthy & your tyres are pumped up before arriving on the ride
6. You MUST make sure you have your name and up-to-date phone number registered here on the Letsride. You will need to consent to your name & phone number being passed to the Welsh Government “Test Trace Protect” system if anyone delveops covid symptoms or has a positive covid test within 14 days of the ride. This information is held on the British Cycling Letsride database which is compliant with GDPR (ie. Date Protection regulations).
7. Please don’t come on the ride if you are required to self-isolate or quarantine.
8. *** Before booking & coming on this ride can you please carry out a self-assessment for Covid-19 symptoms:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
If you, or anyone in your household, have any of these symptoms, fell unwell or have a positive Covid test please DO NOT come on the ride.
If you develop any of these symptoms or have a positive covid test within 14 days of the ride please contact me immediately (
[email protected]) and I will pass all riders details to the Welsh Government “Test Trace Protect” system
