Plymouth - Dartmoor Two Trails Challenge - 30 miler

You don't have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you'll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you're comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour. This ride is not for the faint hearted and there are some challenging hills! If you're not sure if this ride is for you why not try one of our steady rides first. Join us for a circular ride taking in Burrator Reservoir, and sections of both the Plym Valley Trail, and the Drake's Trail. This route takes in some wonderful country pubs, including the Royal Oak, Burrator Inn, Walkhampton Inn, and Whitchurch Inn so please bring some money. As a charity the National Trust rely heavily on membership subscriptions and admission fees. For every visit your local National Trust Centre will receive some of this money to fund their conservation work so please let us know if you are a member. A particular attraction during spring and summer are the Dartmoor Pony foals. During the summer months the George Park and Ride operates a car boot sale so you may wish to have a browse before joining the ride. Please note Toilets are ONLY AVAILABLE when the car park is being used for a car boot sale (March-September) providing it isn't rained off. We hope you'll join us and look forward to seeing you there!
