The small grassed area Opposite the Post Office and Winteringham Fields. DN15 9NE.
Taking you one step further in your cycling ability. A flattish route all on small roads Linking up all the villages near Akbrough. The small roads have relatively little traffic and coffee stop at Normanby Hall. We will head out from Winteringham, down past the Witeringham Haven, the road is a little rough but still easily passable for road bikes. We will then head towards Whitton and take up the 6 villages route, taking in the villages of Alkbrough, Burton Upon Stather, Thealby, Coleby, West Halton, before heading back through Whitton to Winteringham. Nice flat rolling roads. There is a possibility of this road being used as a part of the cycling network to link the Humber Bridge to the existing route that runs from Normanby Hall to Scunthorpe, and in time to link up to Winterton, Broughton and Brigg so please do come along and if the council see us using the route they will take action to implement the route as a National Cycle Route. So please invite your family, friends and work mates to take part.
A free gift will be given to all riders who attend the ride.
