Prestwich Valley Social Ride If you love getting out on your mountain bike and enjoy a circuit which offers hills and descents over some rough terrain then come and join us for a ride around the Irwell Valley cycling area. This is a 10-15 mile ride around the picturesque parts of Radcliffe, Drinkwater Park, Thirteen Arches and a bit of Clifton Country Park. This ride is aimed for mountain bike riders who don’t mind a circuit with challenging sections. It is advised that you have some off road knowledge as there are some hills and a few tricky sections so if you’re not ready for this type of ride then you may need to push your bike up and down some of the hilly sections. It is strongly recommended that you have off road tyres as this is not a green lane ride! The ride will be fun, challenging and will get your heart pumping. Depending on your riding ability there is the option to cut some of the more technical sections out and for you to enjoy a fun and steady ride. There will also be the option to have short breaks during the ride if preferred. At the end of the ride, there will be an opportunity to socialise with a few pints at the horse shoe pub, for those who would like to join us. If you are ready to get fit and wish to face a fun and challenging ride then I will look forward to meeting you soon ?
