Riding along the Prom all the way to Cressington on the way back through Sefton and Princes park.
Pier Head Ferry Terminal is not far from James Street Station. Come out of the main exit of the station, turn right, come down towards Mann Island. The ferry terminal is by the Museum of Liverpool. Alternatively get off at Moorfield's station which is a bit further away, if you're not confident about cycling then just walk your bike down to where you feel safer. Unfortunately, Liverpool City Centre doesn't have much free parking so I would recommend the train in this instance.
