As part of Big Bike Revival, we have a series of short/medium led rides from Paget Primary School to locations in the North Birmingham area.

Our led ride this week is to Aston Hall and the route is on a mixture of the canal, cycle paths and quiet roads. We join the canal for a few miles at a leisurely pace and come off at Lichfield Rd exit and use the shared paths, bus lane and roads before reaching Aston Hall.

We will stop for 30-45 mins at the Stable Yard Café (link to their website below) and the grounds at Aston Hall will be open at 11am. If you would like to purchase a drink then bring a payment card or cash with you. Alternatively, you can bring your own drink. There are toilets onsite.

We then return back on the Tame Valley canal then pass through the parks (Brookvale Park, Witton Lakes) on the NCN 535 route on cycle paths and roads through Erdington to Paget.

We always go at the slowest person's pace in order to keep the group together and do not leave anyone behind. Our rides are steady and for those who want to learn more about the local routes in their area and increase their confidence being part of a group. We are a friendly group and everyone plays their part in helping each other on the ride.

Please ensure that your bike is in good working order and wear a cycle helmet. It you can bring lights as we go through a couple of small tunnels on the canal.

If you can bring a drink with you, a spare inner tube or puncture kit and bike lock.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a selection of bikes & helmets available on request (subject to availability). It is essential you book 24 hours prior to the ride by emailing: [email protected]
