BL2 6EB

Starting from Leverhulme Park we follow the cycle path towards Bury and then along the Bolton Bury Canal. At the reservoir we cross the Metro line to get onto the Roch Valley Greenway. Crossing the river using the new pedestrian/cycling bridge at Gigg. We then turn North to cross Bury before turning East towards Heywood and Queens Park. Its then a very varied ride across country to Heaton Park. After a café stop, it’s over to Phillips Park via Prestwich Clough. Then we go South down into Drinkwater Park and then back North over the M60 and up to Radcliff on the Outwood Trail. After crossing Radcliff, we head back Bolton via the cycle path.
This is a very varied and mixed route with very little of the distance on roads. Mostly its urban trails, bridlepaths and the odd section of singletrack through the woods.

Parts of the route will be muddy so please bring a bike with off road tyres. Also please bring a helmet, spare inner tube and money for the café stop.
