Rapids to Ampfield

From the starting point, we will ride along the cycle path until we turn into Lee Lane. From there we cross carefully and safely over the main road and ride up Hoe Lane to North Baddesley. There is a slight incline up to Body Farm where we will then descend along Pound Lane until we reach Ampfield and our coffee stop at Ampfield Golf Club.
We can sit and enjoy the view with our coffee and cake before heading back to the top of Pound Lane, turning into Green Lane, then Highwood Lane and Botley Road, back to the start.

This is a gentle local ride suitable for riders wanting to gain experience of riding in a group and for ladies who prefer a shorter ride.

We will be riding along some cycle paths and some quieter roads.

You will need a helmet and a roadworthy bike. Please make sure your tyres are properly inflated and you have tyre levers, a spare inner tube to fit your bike and a pump in case of a puncture which we can help you fix. You should have some water and a lock for your bike. You can pay for your coffee with either cash or a bank card.

If you haven't joined a Breeze ride before, then this ride would make an excellent first one. It is not a race. We cycle at a gentle pace and never leave anyone behind.
