We will leave from Tweedbank, riding through Darnick and Melrose, crossing the A6091 to follow the Bogley towards Eildon, taking a right turn along quiet lane past Whiterigg, routing on quiet roads through Bowden, past Langside, Northfields, and Whitelee, and down into Newtown St Boswells. From there we cross the A68 towards Dryburgh and up the hill to take in Scott’s View, before our arrival in Redpath for lunch. Leaving Redpath we head down to Leaderfoot crossing the Tweed to then climb up to Newstead, before returning to Tweedbank via Annay road and Melrose.

Route rating

0 stars (0) Reviews

A meandering ride from Tweedbank to Redpath, to enjoy a soupy lunch at Redpath Village Hall.

Quiet country lanes and roads, some of which are closed to motor traffic. The route is hilly, with some challenging climbs and lovely descents.

We will stop to regroup, and take photos etc and catch our breath as needed. Lunch is at Redpath Village Hall, at approximately 16 miles into the ride.

Please wear a helmet, and dress appropriately for autumnal weather. Your bike must be road worthy and well maintained. Make sure to bring a spare inner tube and any tools you may need for road side repairs. Please bring a cash donation for lunch, a drink and snacks to maintain energy levels en route.

We never leave anyone behind
