A lovely green ride, almost all off-road. However,we do have on road alternatives, if we find that the shared paths are too wet and muddy, depending on the weather.

We ride along the Brent River and the Grand Union Canal to Brentford, then through Syon Park and along the river from Isleworth to Richmond Bridge. Crossing the river, we tackle the climb up Richmond Hill, to be rewarded with the descent of Sawyers Hill, leaving Richmond Park via the Roehampton Gate, then crossing Putney Heath into Wimbledon Common. After a lunchtime stop at the Windmill Café, we ride on through the Common, re-entering Richmond Park at the Robin Hood Gate. We cross the Park to leave by the Sheen Gate and make our way back to Ealing via Mortlake and the riverside path to Kew Bridge.

The Windmill Cafe http://www.windmilltearooms.com/ offers of a range of food & drink, but can be very busy, so you might prefer to bring your own refreshments. Don't forget to bring a lock for your bike.

Do not attend if you or anyone in your household has any covid-19 symptoms or is currently required to self-isolate. At the time of posting, we believe that covid restrictions will have been lifted, but we will comply with social distancing and hygiene requirements as necessary.
