Join Ride Leicester and Dr Emma Parker, University of Leicester, during the Comedy Festival to explore sites in the city associated with Sue Townsend, author of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, the biggest selling book of the 1980s.

Discover how Townsend’s life in Leicester shaped her work: visit the houses where she wrote her books, the theatre where her plays were first performed and the adventure playground where she worked with teenagers to uncover her influences, values and creative practice.

The ride ends with a chance to dive into the Sue Townsend archive at the University of Leicester.

First-timers welcome!

Please bring a bike lock if you have one.
