Cycle out from Handworth - steady 8+

A steady ride, you will go past some interesting buildings and local landmarks on route starting off with a lap around the lake before heading south out of the park. Following Hamstead Hill into Sandwell Valley and picking up NCN 5 and head towards Galton Bridge Station taking in a section of canal towpath before making it's way back to the start point. This ride offers a great mix, be sure to check it out!
Big Birmingham Bikes are available for free hire on request. Please leave a message in the conversation box to request a bike.
These rides are going to be cancelled if it is wet weather for safety mainly.
I intend to do these rides as laps of the route so those with less time can feel free to drop off the ride at the of the lap. It will not be a race!!

Covid Edit
Bikes and helmet loans provided by Birmingham Council are unlikely while Covid issue exist. Please do not book onto this ride if you are expecting to borrow either. Also the route may need to be changed mid ride due to issues around social distancing. It is requested all riders have hand sanitizers and basic bike tool kits along with an innertube that fits the wheels on their bikes especially the valve hole.
