Thinking of entering the Wokingham Bikeathon but not sure you have the confidence to ride on your own? We are planning to ride the Long route (36 miles) as a group of Breeze riders, so do join us for fun and company along the way. The route goes through some lovely Berkshire villages and country lanes, it is all signposted and there are 2 drinks stops and toilet stops along the way (as well as coffee/cakes/refreshments for sale at the finish.) You will still need to register online and pay the Bikeathon entry fee of £25 (all the money raised goes to local charities) - then meet us at the registration tent on the day and we will all ride together. Details of routes and the link for Bikeathon registration are here: https://www.wokinghambikeathon.co.uk

Once you have paid for entry to the Bikeathon, it doesn't matter which of the routes you decide to ride - so there is always the option of changing to the shorter 25 mile route (or 15 miles) on the day if you change your mind. On line entries close on 25th June but you can still pay on the day if necessary (Note: Contactless payments only on the day.).)

The route is all on quiet tarmac roads so suitable for any type of bike, as long as it is roadworthy. Please check your bike the night before, especially making sure you have sufficient air in your tyres (makes cycling easier!) both brakes working and oil on your chain.

You must wear a cycle helmet and bring with you: a bottle of water, a spare inner tube for your bike (+ a pump if you have one) and cash or card to pay for any refreshments at the end. As the first refreshment stop (on the 36 mile route) is after 20 miles, it is probably advisable to bring a snack with you too.

We never leave anyone behind
