Ride to count waders along the Humber Bank

We count waders along the Humber Bank every month for the BTO and it'd be great to have some people joining us. Don't worry, no specialist birding knowledge is needed, just patience when we pause to look through binoculars. After the count, we can go to Ferriby's for lunch/late coffee.

This ride is part of the 2022 Ride Through Winter challenge. If you take part in at least 4 rides in January and February, a tree will be planted!

Please do a lateral flow test before you come, check your bike and bring:
- warm clothes and your helmet
- pump, inner tube and crossed fingers that they won't be needed!
- drink and snack
- money for refreshments
- face covering and sanitiser
- binoculars if you're interested in looking at the birds

I've made it a late start in the hopes any slippery patches will have gone, but if there's a danger of ice, I'll cancel the ride or change it to the afternoon so please look out for any last-minute alterations.
