STOP PRESS: As tall ships will be sailing up and down the Thames and there is a new section of the Thames Path which we can try out, the route for this ride has been adjusted to follow the Thames Path from the Thames Barrier to Woolwich.

On our Rochester Ride last December, we thought it would be a good idea to do a similar ride, but returning by train from Gravesend, rather than from Rochester.

So we will be following up this suggestion by meeting at Dulwich Clock Cafe and cycling out to Woolwich. We can then follow the newly refurbished Ridgeway cycle path, which now includes a Bexley section, out to Southmere Lake and Lesnes Abbey. We then continue along National Route 1 to Gravesend, where we will return to London by train.
