Parking is free, but may be busy if there are events on at the Leisure Centre across the road. PLEASE BE AWARE, there is a height restriction barrier of 2.1mtrs in place. If you are carrying your bicycle on the roof of your vehicle you will need to remove it before entering the car park. *Although this route is flat (79m total ascent), we have graded it as Challenging due to the length so please bare this in mind when booking.

We'll start by riding along the new cycle lane on St Helens Road, before joining the Bridgewater canal. From here we stay on the canal all the way to Worsley. We then join Port Salford Greenway, which takes us from Winton to Liverpool road. From there, we join Cadishead Way and then Excalibur Way. We'll stop at the cafe for a nice warm drink before setting off back. The return route will follow Astley Road, before joining Rindle Road, and Lower Green Lane. We rejoin the canal at Lower Green, and follow it back to Leigh Sports Village.

Please check your bike is in good working order and carry a spare inner tube to fit your bike and/or a puncture repair kit.

Please bring money (cash or card) if you intend to purchase food or drink at the stop.
