The ride will leave Robin Park and follow the Leeds and Liverpool Canal towpath to Parbold where we leave the towpath at Alder Lane bridge and take to the country lanes to our destination in Burscough.

The return route will be on the canal towpath back to Robin Park.

This is a barrier free ride on hard surfaces and is suitable for any bike.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

A ride through the countryside to the village of Burscough.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads and a short stretch of busy road.

There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments at Jack Parker Cycles and Coffee shop www.jackparkercycles.store There is also the Lancashire Bakery opposite for any pie eaters.

Please bring drinks and snacks or money to buy them. Helmets must be worn on this ride.

New riders are welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind.
