Ride to the Three Sisters Racetrack

This ride will leave Robin Park and follow the Leeds and Liverpool Canal towpath to Bamfurlong where we head for Virridor Woods. After cycling through the woods we go around the 3 Sisters Lake and stop at the 3 Sisters Racetrack for refreshments.

The return journey takes us down the Devil's Backbone to Hawkley Woods and back to Robin Park.

Barriers:-

For once this is a barrier free ride and there is also the option to bypass the steps at Bamfurlong Bridge if anyone prefers to go on a short stretch of road.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

The possibility of seeing a few laps of Karts in action in a 6 hour endurance race.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads, a short stretch of busy roads and tracks and trails.

There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments at the Three Sisters Racetrack cafe.

Please bring drinks/snacks or money to buy them. Helmets should be worn on this ride.

New riders are welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind.
