Starting point

Cheshire
WA5 8UQ

Short, mainly off road route designed for people new to or returning to cycling !
Very easy pace, so no one is left behind.

50% is off road on good tarmac paths. 40% on shared use footpaths. The other 10% is on a minor roads. - very easy to ride along.

There are a few narrow barriers along the route, therefore this route will not suit those on non standard bikes.

Route:
From the starting point we had along the Westbrook/Dallam greenway (off road). We then join the Sankey Valley and head North to Old Alder Lane and then Hall Lane where we head into and along Gypsy wood.
We then head through the side roads of Burtonwood village and emerge on the newly created Terry O'Neill way. (Pedestrian and cycle path) This path shared use path takes us back towards Omega and then onto Westbrook.

Regular stops along the route. We'll also stop at Gypsy Wood.

You'll need a road worth bike. Helmets are strongly recommended. We also recommend a spare innertube or puncture repair kit, if you have one, however this isn't essential. Please bring your own drinks and snacks, if required.

First-timers welcome!
