Ride with the Riff Raff on our 1st Mystery Tour

This ride will take you through some areas and on tracks that we don't normally use as well as tracks that our regular riders are very familiar with.

We will be having a short stop early in the ride to visit a quirky cake shed (5* hygiene rated) for a takeaway cake or two. Preferably bring cash for the honesty box or use the card reader (if it is working). There is no guarantee that there will be any cakes left when we arrive as they regularly sell out early.

You will be riding through some woodlands which may be muddy if it has rained and also on a short potholed track. The highest point on the ride is the Balcarres Arms.

There are a few barriers on the ride - kissing gate and step over horse stiles.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads, short stretches of busy roads and cycle paths, tracks and trails.

There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments at Haigh Hall Stableyard.

Please bring drinks/snacks or money to buy them.

New riders are welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind.
