BL6 7RT

A 9 mile non technical mtb ride.
We start at lower Rivington and gradually ascend up to the Pigeon tower. We complete our ride at the famous ruins of Liverpool castle.
Mainly off road with some rough sections but nothing too daunting.

Another low level MTB from Carol and Carmel. We are not MTB leaders hence this is a Community ride. We're delving into Rivington this time ,weaving our way up to the Pigeon tower on various tracks and trails. We're rewarded with fantastic views [fingers crossed] for all our efforts as we make our way along this popular path and on wards to our eventual descent popping out at Curleys Fishery where we have the option of a brew before heading back into the trees and the many back roads of Horwich to return to our start.

Expect lumps and bumps and plenty of mud and puddles depending on how much rain there's been.Although plenty of climbing involved we take a zigzag approach which lessens the intensity. Some tarmac inevitably, but the majority off road.

Bring snacks to have as and when. This is a 9 mile endeavour of our beloved Rivington and we'll rest whenever needed. We're not in a hurry. E bikes welcome but we are on analogue and are not in any hurry to get up the hills.

Helmets compulsory and please have spare inner tubes and a way to get home if necessary.

This is not a scary fast and furious belt around Rivi. We'll stick together as we toil up the inclines and rejoice when we get to the top. We're not going up to the Pike this time.Slow and steady but still lots of excitement and a sense of accomplishment to be had!
