An evening ride starting from the green container at the far end of the boathouse car park, pier road Kinross. We begin on the road cycling up towards Milnathort, turning into Auld Mart, cycling along the firm and well compacted old railway line path towards Arlary, turning along the tarmac again towards the Larder.
From here we will join the traffic free Heritage trail path for our return journey. By now the Sun should be set and the light will be fading so we will need some lights on our bikes as the path is not lit. We may see some deer or other wildlife on the path and hear the geese settling down on the loch. Cycling here in the evening is always a pleasure. I hope you will enjoy this ride as we celebrate as women being active in this week of celebration. (Scottish women and girls in sport week)

A ride to celebrate Scottish Women and Girls In Sport week. This 9 mile circular route takes us on the old railway line traffic free path, and a section of road to Loch Leven’s Larder, followed by a return on the Heritage Trail. Sunset is at 6:35 pm so hopefully we will have some lovely colours in the sky to admire. The ride should take approximately one hour so the light will be fading as we return, but we will not have any traffic to deal with. . It’s a chance to enjoy a breath of fresh air at the end of the day and a lovely relaxing social ride with lovely ladies. https://www.strava.com/routes/3405952336777813214

We will cycle up the road to Auld Mart to join the old railway line from Milnathort towards Arlary, turning along the road towards Loch Leven’s Larder. We will join the heritage trail here and cycle back on this lovely Traffic free route back to the boathouse where we began.

No coffee stops are planned however we will stop for riders to have drinks and snacks themselves as needed and of course for any photo opportunities!

Helmets are strongly recommended along with eye protection and clothing suitable for the changeable Scottish weather in the autumn. Please ensure your bike is in good working order and bring any spares or tools to fit your bike. Please put lights on your bike and assure they are fully charged and we are bright or high visibility clothing if you have any..

We never leave anyone behind
