You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.

Leaving Laughton we ride gently downhill on a quiet country lane to Firbeck Village then ride up hill to follow quiet lanes through the sleepy villages of  Letwell, Gildingwells and into Woodsetts. On busier roads we ride towards Worksop passing through it outskirts to a cafe stop by the canal at Shireoaks. Leaving the cafe we again head onto quiet lanes riding through Netherthorpe (passing close to the airstrip) into Thorpe Salvin to catch a glimpse of the ruined Thorpe Salvin Hall and past wind turbines into Harthill . Busier roads take us towards uphill through Kiveton Park and Todwick levelling out to approach Brampton en le Morthen and then back on quiet lanes for the return to Laughton. The ride passes several Churches and Laughton church is a visible presence on the skyline for much of the ride.
