Route 5 - Stratford Upon Avon, Wilmcote, Alcester Circuit

This ride will leave the car park just off the Bidford on Avon roundabout at 8.30 am & head through Barton, Dorsington, Long Marston & then along The Greenway. The Greenway is on Route 5 of the National Cycling Network & is a traffic free disused railway track which runs past the racecourse & directly to the river in Stratford.

From here we will cross town (still on Route 5) & pick up the canal towpath for approximately a mile which leads to Wilmcote & Mary Arden's Farm, also known as Mary Arden's House (Arden is the maiden name of William Shakespeare's mother). The cafe here makes a perfect stop for coffee & cake before getting back onto Route 5 & head back to Alcester, Wixford & back to Bidford on Avon.

Please remember to bring your helmet, spare inner tube, water & money for refreshments.
