You've done the first bit, and found this page. Welcome to the only active cycling group (on Skyride) based in the Rugby area. This will be the 7th ride this year, starting at Rugby Benn Hall. So far, there has been an average of about 5-6 people each time. The route will be: Rugby ---> Clifton ---> Catthorpe --->Sharwell ---> Swinford ---> Welford ---> Naseby ---> Cottesbrooke ---> Brixworth ---> Pitsford ---> East Haddon ---> Long Buckby ---> Barby ---> Rugby Route will be all on road. I will be aiming for anywhere between an average of 10-13mph. The main purpose for me is for fitness. I ride a Hybrid, not a road bike. We can go a bit slower if need be. This is not a race! For some, this will be the first time doing this distance. Please ensure you bring spare inner tubes / pump. Helmets are recommended. Please ensure you also bring suitable amounts of liquid and food to keep you going. There will be a 30-40 minute stop at the Brampton halt pub in Chapel Brampton 35 miles in (www.thebramptonhalt.co.uk). Please bring along some money for a drink and a snack. If anyone wants to contact me, or has questions, please do so at [email protected] This ride will not be suitable for mountain bikes. Route will be as the following link: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/281126033 I hope to see you there. Paul P.S for anyone who wants an extra challenge, once we get back to the start point, there will be an additional 10miles in order to get the metric centry (100km).
