Starting point

Oxfordshire
OX7 6QE

This route is perfect for anyone who is coming back to cycling, looking to build confidence or just fancies a steady, social ride. We will head down to Milton, along the High Street and up the long(ish) but very gradual hill to the top road. From here the road rolls up and down steadily, before a little kick up as we arrive in Idbury - it's steep but very short so a good hill to have a go at. We will have a short rest/drink break at the top. Next we will practice building confidence as we head down Bould Hill at whatever pace suits you - slow and steady is always good! It's then rolling roads up and down as we cycle past Bledington and Kingham Station before turning right back towards Lyneham. As we head back to the farm shop, we will cross over the level crossing and back up another long but gradual hill to Bruern. Hopefully everyone can stay for some refreshments at the cafe.
NOTE: we always go at the pace of the slowest rider - there is absolutely no expectation of speed on these rides. They are all about gaining confidence and having a nice chat as you're riding. If you need to walk up a hill, that's absolutely fine! We are all here to develop our riding and cheer each other on. The ride leader will manage all roads, junctions and signals, so you don't have to. We stop at every junction for a breather and to regroup. If there are any specific areas you wish to work on or ask about, just let me know.
