Route rating

5 stars (1) Reviews

Our industrial past has given way to an alternative transport present; canal, docks, old tramway, and former rail bed provide much of the route for this ride. Truly a ride through history.

Virtually traffic free, we will be utilising many traffic free shared use routes, tow path, and some quiet roads linking sections together.

Bring snacks and drinks with you. Whilst no stops are planned, we will always pause to take on refreshments and snacks as required. Time and weather depending we may pit stop at a café en route.

Helmets are mandatory for junior riders and strongly encouraged for adults. Bring inner tubes suitable for your bike(s), snacks, drink, a smile and maybe a joke or two. Please also dress appropriate to the weather.

We especially welcome newbies!
