A great route 99.9% off road This is an everyone welcome social ride, so if you are wanting an average speed and not prepared to stay as a group then it's not for you.

We will start from the car park (Dukes Drive) Monton. We then use the designated cycle route 55, all off road to join the guided bus route and continue to Leigh. We will then join the tow Path of the canal to travel back to Monton. There are some hills to deal with on the guided bus route, but you also get the relief of going down some too. The rest of the route is virtually flat.

Riders are advised to dress for the weather, bring a drink and snack. We can have a short break before joining the canal. During the ride we can stop as and when needed. Toilets are within a few minutes away at the end of the guided bus route, so if needed we can head there before joining the canal. Once on the tow Path to Monton we can make an official coffee stop at Worsley where there is a great coffee van (I have negotiated a discount for my group).

Helmets are advised. Suitable clothing to suit the weather, (although if the weather is looking unpleasant the ride may be cancelled). Please also bring any drink /snack you might want along the way a sense of adventure and a smile.

This is a social event, we do not leave anyone behind.
