Saints Foundation Training Rides are led by British Cycling trained Ride Leaders and Breeze Champions to support riders taking part in the Saints Big Bike Challenge 2017. The training rides will build up distance, fitness and time in the saddle ahead of the Challenge which is taking place on 20/21 May. The riders will cover 180 miles over 2 days as they ride from Stoke to Southampton raising money for the Foundation. More details about how to get involved can be found here - http://saintsfoundation.co.uk/saints-foundations-big-bike-challenge-is-back-for-2017/ Whilst we would love you to join us on the Saints Big Bike Challenge 2017 these rides are open to everybody who would like to increase distance and fitness over the coming months in a supportive and friendly group environment. There will be a coffee stop at the end of the ride at Mettricks in Guildhall Square. If you need to travel to the start location by car there will be free parking available at the stadium. The route will be a circular route from St Marys Stadium which will take us over the Itchen Bridge, through Bitterne and out to West End, we will pass closely by The Ageas Bowl before heading out on country lanes to Horton Heath, and on to Lower Upham, before returning back to Southampton, via Durley, Botley, Hedge End, Woolston and over the Itchen Bridge, passing St Marys Stadium, and finally finishing at the Mettricks Coffee shop in Guildhall Square.
