Come and join in on a leisurely family-friendly cycle through Sankey Valley Park to Newton-le-Willows and back along a largely flat traffic-free cycle route.
We start at the Sankey Valley car park, just off Cromwell Avenue, heading up along the cycle path beside the Sankey Canal. There’s often plenty of wildlife to keep an eye out for as we follow this corridor of green through Warrington. Leaving Warrington, we pass beneath the M62 and continue along the cycle path passing fields of horses and the occasional Virgin Pendolino train up towards Newton-le-Willows.
After 4.5 miles we turn off the canal path and follow a mix of quiet roads and cycle paths to Red Bank Farm Shop and Café where we can sit and enjoy a drink and yummy cake. We will then make our way back towards Sankey Canal and retrace our route back through Sankey Valley Park to where we started.
This is a lovely 11 mile route suitable for all ages and abilities.

Please bring some cash to enjoy a snack at the cafe and a bike lock if you have one.
