Yes the annual Santa Ride has finally been finalised , with a new time and new route around Newport, raising funds for St.Davids Hospice Care, all I'm asking is a voluntary donation please.
So start blinging those bikes in tinsel and lights , don't forget your bike lights too. Starting at the velodrome we head out over the footbridge by Aldi to take up the cycle path alongside the SDR road out to the Coldra , turning left and join the road on Chepstow Road, single file on this road. Once we reach Maindee turning left over George Street Bridge past RGH , along Cardiff Road until we reach Tredegar Park. Now this part is where children can enjoy the ride with us too as we will do a loop around the park before stopping at the new coffee stop , for parents that want to take the kids around the park , parking is £1, they too need to where a helmet. After we head back across the road by pedestrian crossing picking up the cycle route through Maesglas Retail park, towards Transporter Bridge, crossing over by Blaina Wharf (you might fancy a pint or mulled wine ) going over and under Sdr Bridge, so come along and let's get everyone feeling festive
