Scenic Ride to Clumber Park

A scenic route starting on the outskirts of Worksop, following route 6 to Clumber park over the old Manton Pit Tip, taking in a ride round the lake with lovely views of the church/grounds. Stopping for coffee at the 'Broomwagon Velo Cafe' we will then take quieter routes around the park, before heading back along tracks and quiet minor roads back to our start destination.

The route is largely flat, although there is a climb over the pit tip and a couple of undulating roads around Clumber - nothing too challenging. It is a mix of track and minor roads. Suitable for Hybrid, Trail, Cyclocross and Mountain Bikes

Please wear comfortable clothing suited to the weather. It is recommended that you carry spare inner tubes, puncture repair kit and a multi tool, just in case you have any mechanical issues. Please check before the ride, that your bike is in a road worthy condition.

It’s a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments/cake at the café stop.

Wearing a helmet is highly recommended, though not essential.
