The Pods, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe, DN16 1AA
Starting from the Pods Leisure Centre, this 19 mile route has a mix of tarmac roads and tarmac cycle paths, heading North on the NCN 169 cycle path. Normanby Hall Country Park, a couple of villages, a stop in the tea rooms in Alkborough, the ancient turf maze of Julian's Bower together with stunning views over Trent Falls where the rivers Trent and Ouse join to form the Humber all in one great ride! The return journey goes back through Burton Stather and Flixborough, re-entering Scunthorpe back on the NCN 169 cycle path.
