See You at Seaford (Sofa2Sportive Training Ride 8 of 9)

This is the eighth ride in a series of nine between February to May, to get you ready for summer cycling holiday, sportive, or challenge ride. We go from 10 miles on the first ride to 35 miles in May.

We hug the seafront using Sustrans National Cycle Route 2, with cycle paths and quiet roads. Just one section of busier roads through Rottingdean.

There are hills, including a steep one into Newhaven, so you need to be a confident and competent cyclist for this ride - is it NOT for beginners!

We have the option of catching the train back from Newhaven if you're tired by the time we get to Seaford, and we have a café stop on the beach at Seaford, so bring money. Also bring spare inner tube for your bike, water, snacks, and waterproof. Limit how much other stuff you bring as it will slow down you down on the steep hills.
