Join us for another trip over to Settle for the flowerpot festival, a little bit of fun with stunning scenery.
The ride has been tweaked to make it easier for non bosch assisted riders to join and without the evil hill coming back
The ride does start early as the train service isn't regular and those that like to use the train are not waiting around
Leaving the train station we head through the village and onto Eshton, Airton, Kirkby Malham, this is the start of the climb up and over to Settle, don't be put off, there is a fantastic view of Malham Cove, a great excuse to stop and look. The drop down to Settle is steep so care is required.
Once in the town, we can separate, have lunch, check out the flowerpots, window shop etc. meeting up after an hour at Settle train station by the water tower (which featured on George Clarke The Restoration Man
Leaving Settle we head out on Station road passing Giggleswick train station, then single track tarmac road to Wham, Long Gill, at Wigglesworth we have a short section of main road, half a mile then its back on to quiet roads to Halton West, Nappa, Bank Newton and into Gargrave.
This second part of the ride is undulating, nothing anyone in the group can't do, on the flat sections non ebikes will be faster
Plenty of choices for cafes
