Join us for a ride to the quaint and charming Shed24 Cafe at Hellifield train station, it has a small museum if you are interested in memorabilia, it's not fine dining, but it's as cheap as chips
The first 4.5 miles are towpath, with 100 metres of lumpy bumpy, this can be walked, it avoids the very busy A59 and A65
The ride is undulating, on the return leg there is a 4 mile climb, 719 ft of climbing, it is worth it, on a clear day the views are absolutely stunning
Leaving the train station its straight over and onto the towpath to Gargrave coming off on Eshton road, then its onto Eshton, Bell Busk, Otterburn and Hellifield for lunch
Bring your own picnic to sit on the platform or pennies for the cafe
