A road route to get-over fear of hills. Aimed for people who are comfortable, on the road. Route has nice steady gentle gradient climbs and descents.

Is this the route for you?
You will have cycled this distance in the last 4 months and you are very comfortable cycling on the road. It is NOT a ride which will leave you hot, flustered and short of breath. The route uses the road system, for the time of day the roads will be relatively quite. Bring adequate fluids and small snacks for your needs. There will be regular short stops to enable catchup and a breather along the route. Main stop will be a local pub, with facilities and choice of quick snacks and CAKE!!, so bring your “pennies” if you would like!

Ensure you dress for the weather and the type of ride.
Your bike is fit for purpose, you have your own tools and you know how to change your own tube and perform maintenance on your bike. We recommend you bring 2 spare inner tubes.

Need a bike?
Please be at the compound gate for 9am so we can match you to a bike. There are adult bikes available, sizes are limited, there are also helmets available. The compound is on the right, just before the car park.

Toilet facilities are at Sheldon Country Park
Parking is Free.
