Short ride Oaklands College loop

We will Start in St Albans and ride out through the Jersey Farm area and make our way onto Coopers Green Lane. We will then ride through country lanes and the woods and make our way to Nomansland. A small loop of this then back towards Sandridge and a stop at The Potting Shed for a well deserved drink and snack if needed. A quick 10 mins ride will take us back to where we started. The majrity of this route is road, but there are a couple of places that are stoney, bumpy rough track for about 200m.

Please join me in my first led ride. It is a short ride only around 12 miles so ideal for the more inexperienced rider. It will start from Oaklands college in St Albans, South Drive, off Hatfield Road AL4 0JA. Free parking available.

The first 200m is a rough bumpy track so care needed with road bikes. Majority is on quiet country lanes but there are parts on main roads.

As this is a short ride - roughly 1hr 15 mins the coffee stop will be towards the end at The potting Shed on Sandridge Road.

Please be sure to bring your helmets as you won't be allowed to ride without one, spare inner tube, pump, drink. If you have had any COVID-19 symptoms within the last few days or you are aware that you have been in contact with someone with the virus or symptoms then please do not attend this ride.
