Just a short ride to start us off into the new season and get our legs going again, Taking the riverside path out of Newton through new Minnigaff and across the A75 onto the single track road leading to Blackcraig. Only one small incline on the route which is into Blackcraig but there are a lot of potholes along the way so we’ll be riding very carefully. Once out of Blackcraig, there will be an option to extend the ride by just a few miles, going along the New Galloway road and up onto the Risk Road. Small incline again but the views are well worth the effort (this extension will be offered to all and we go with whatever the majority want to do): Then it’s all downhill back into Newton.
Dress warmly, bring waterproofs, a drink and working lights and remember that cycle helmets are mandatory on our group’s Breeze rides.

First timers at whatever ability are always welcome, there’s no pressure to keep up and we never leave anyone behind
