We will use the the Strathkelvin railway track to Clachan of Campsie and stop at Sonas for coffee and cake. The path is in good condition, however there are some tree roots along the path and a small section of gravel. This route is best suited to gravel, hybrid, mountain bikes as the gravel section maybe challenge on a road bike.
This route is flat and traffic free, ideal for women just getting back into cycling!

Womens only social cycle along the Strathkelvin railway path (no roads) for cake and a coffee at Sonas

This ride will take us along the Strathkelvin railway path. This is traffic free, but we will cross a 3 roads. The path is a shared resource and is used by cyclist, walkers, joggers and dog walkers so care is required.

We will stop at sonas at Clachan of Campsie for coffee and cake, please bring some money with you. We will also stop along the path for a break if/when required.

This route is suitable for all bikes. Please bring a spare inner tube for your bike, a pump, water and snacks. You should wear clothes appropriate for the weather, but a jacket is always advisable in Scotland. A bell on your bike is advisable to alert other path users. Please ensure that your bike is in good working order with tyres inflated. If you plan to use an ebike, please ensure that this is charged. This ride is non supported and therefore participates should have equipment for their bike.
