This is the second of our Tuesday evening rides helping us make the move from sofa to saddle. Our Easy-going rides are geared towards all ages and abilities, making them the perfect choice if you haven’t cycled for a while or are looking to increase confidence, all while having fun with other local women.

This free, women only series aims to continue weekly, helping us to make cycling a healthy habit, you’ll need to sign up for each session on Let’s Ride and can join us for all sessions or just the occasional one if that is what suits you best. There are limited spaces on the rides, so make sure you book early and let us know if you can’t attend so we can offer the space to someone else. If you can’t make this week you can still join us later, we’ll aim to gradually extend the route and even explore different Easy-going routes as feels comfortable for the group.

If you are keen to cycle more than once a week, you’ll also have access to other led rides and risk-assessed routes on Let’s Ride (letsride.co.uk) so have a search and see what is coming up in North Wales (remember to use the filter or it will only give you a 10 miles radius)

What to expect on the ride:
These rides go at a gentle pace and will take place in a relaxed, mostly traffic-free environment on risk assessed routes led by a qualified Breeze champion. We want these rides to offer an opportunity to practice cycling in a safe environment, to all have fun and gain confidence riding in a small group. No-one is ever left behind!
Starting from Port Penrhyn we'll cycle up Lon Las Ogwen cycle path towards Tregarth. It’s cycle path all the way for this second ride.

As this is an early evening ride, it may get chilly on the way back so please wear suitable clothing for this. We are making the most of the light evenings however it is a good idea to bring along some bike lights.

We've had Covid-19 Awareness Training from the Welsh Sports Association and are responsible for following all the necessary Covid-19 protocols to keep us all safe - please read the Covid-19 Section below.

If you have any questions or want to discuss anything please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via the conversation function below, on the Breeze Network Anglesey, Gwynedd & Conwy Facebook group or by email Alex ([email protected]) and Lucy ([email protected]).

What to bring:

• Your bike - Make sure your bike is in good working order with the tyres pumped up before arriving on the ride. All types of bikes welcome, including e-bikes. For this ride series you DO need to be able to ride your bike – but we can help you master things like your gears.
• A helmet
• A drink for the ride and a snack if you’d like one
• Clothes suitable for the weather, including something warm for the briefing at the beginning of the ride and any stops we make
• A mask. Hand sanitiser or sanitising wipes
