We ride out from Grimeford village, through the village of Blackrod for our first challenging climb. across to Coppull and Euxton and then climbing up through Clayton le Woods and Brindle before turning towards Fenniscowles and Tockholes.
We will then make our way back via Belmont village and Scout Moor tackling our last challenging climb up Edge Lane.

Breeze Horwich Sofa to Sportive Series No 6

A road ride which will take in some main A roads and country lanes for riders who are developing and improving their road riding skills and confidence. There are a few hills to overcome but we will take them at a steady pace and always re group with frequent rest stops if needed. This is a progression road ride. A road bike is required, hybrids and mountain bikes are NOT suitable. A very lightweight hybrid with road tyres suitable for riding at faster speeds is acceptable.

We will endeavour to make an outdoor rest stop at Tockholes visitor centre if open and if possible incorporate this with takeaway refreshments.

Helmets are always recommended on road rides. Also be equipped with items needed to make any emergency repairs, inner tubes, bike levers and pump. Please also bring any snacks and drinks needed for energy, this is a long ride.

We never leave anyone behind
