Starting at Tweedbank Station, we will cycle to Redpath Village Hall via Darnick, Melrose, Newstead, Leaderfoot, and Earlston. After a lunch stop at Redpath we will head to Scott’s View and return to Tweedbank Station bank via Dryburgh, Newton St Boswells, The Bogley, and Melrose. The food stop is approximately 9 miles into this 18 mile route which has 1500 feet of climbing. Because of the hilly terrain, it has been classed as challenging.

The route is via quiet country roads, and cycle/shared use paths and some closed roads.

We will stop as necessary to regroup, catch our breath and to take the occasional photo. The village hall in Redpath provides a lunch of soups, breads, tea and coffee, and hopefully some cake. Please bring a cash donation to contribute to the village hall fund.

Please wear a helmet, bring a drink, and any snacks you may need en route. Your bike should be well maintained and you should carry any tools you may need for your bike in the event of a mechanical/puncture. Please dress appropriately for Scottish spring weather.

We never leave anyone behind
