Starting point

Merseyside
L17 1AP

Starting at Sefton Park cafe we'll cycle through Princes Park and along the new cycle path in the centre of Princes Avenue. We'll make our way down to the river on quiet roads and then come along the traffic-free Otterspool prom as far as Liverpool Cricket club.

Then we'll cycle along residential streets (Aigburth Hall Ave & Booker Ave) to Calderstones Park where we'll stop at the Reader cafe for lunch (on outside seating). We'll return to Sefton Park via residential streets (see map for route).

We'll be cycling at a steady pace with short stops along the way. We'll be cycling in two groups with 1 leader and up to 5 participants in each group in accordance with current social distancing guidelines.

If you don't have a bike we have some available to borrow for free. The bikes are stored in a container at Mossley Hill hospital on Park Avenue L17 8BU - use the entrance marked Mossley House which is just above the hospital car park entrance.

The bike container is round to the right hand side of the large victorian Mossley house. We'll meet you there at 9.30am to sort out a bike and a helmet. If you'd like to borrow a bike please let us know by messaging via this website or emailing Helen on [email protected]

** What to bring **
Drinks for the ride
Money for lunch at the Reader cafe

A helmet
Make sure your bike is in good working order with the tyres pumped up before arriving on the ride

1. Please all keep at least 2m apart at the start & finish and during any stops.

2. When we're cycling we're required to be at least 1m apart plus mitigations - being outdoors and being side-to-side (avoiding face-to-face contact).
