We will start in the park, and once we feel comfortable cycling together we will be going out on a fairly flat route taking us onto a residential road, along a shared path, to the canal which we will follow all the way to Little Venice.
We will return the same way, about 26 miles in total. However if anyone feels they don’t want to cycle back you have the option to take the train from Paddington back to Southall

This is a longer ride for women who don’t ride very often, or have recently learned and want to practice, and want to become more confident - a beginners/improvers ride starting from Southall Park.

This route is virtually traffic free - we have about 1/4 mile along a road (or 2) in Southall to get us onto the canal towpath

We will stop as frequently as we need to give ourselves a bit of a rest, to keep ourselves hydrated and to check in how we are all doing. Please bear in mind that there are fewer places with public toilets open, however, we do pass a couple of Sainsbury's stores which may have toilets for customers to use. And there are toilets at Paddington Station

You are encouraged to bring your own bottle(s) of water or drink, and there is a café or two in Paddington Basin so we can decide on the day if we want to stop for refreshments or just take a socially distanced rest ie - a chance for us to get to know each other better. Please check that your bike is in working order with the tyres pumped up. You will also need to bring your own mask/face covering in case you need to go into a café or shop, and hand sanitizer. If you want, you can bring some money/cards so you can buy yourself refreshments or bring something to drink/eat. A bicycle lock is useful, but not essential. Don’t worry if you don’t have a helmet, you can still ride with us.

I welcome women who have not ridden a bicycle for years, those who have just learned and want to practice, or only ride very occasionally and want to become more confident.
