Southport Fish Chips & Ice Cream Ride

We so much enjoyed the ride to Blackpool that we thought we could go for more fish & chips, but this time to Southport. Starting from outside Tarleton Academy we'll head off through the MeanyGates & marshes to get on the coast road to Southport. After 8 miles on the coast road we go past Royal Birkdale & Formby Golf Clubs & head inland past the Martin Mere Wetland Centre before going up through Holmeswood and back to Tarleton. It's a flat ride on B roads & country lanes through some magnificent scenery & should be enjoyed by everyone. We'll ride at a steady pace of 11-12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant ride. It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you. I'm a SkyRide Ride Leader leading guided rides & I'm also a trained route planner - I enjoy my cycling & appreciate it even more when I have people to ride with.
