Southport to Crosby return

we head out from Rotten Row by the model boat pond through Hightown and up to the formby bypass , we then cut through formby to pick up the coastal path to the statues .
We ride at an average pace of 9/11 mph , please make sure you are able to ride the distance at this pace .

A ride we havent done for a year or two , leaving Southport on the roads rather than the coastal path , we head past RAF Woodvale , and cut through Formby up to the gormley statues , I believe Waterloo Place cafe has reopened but id advise to take sandwiches and a drink .

Mostly smooth tarmac roads and cycle paths , there could be some sand drifts .

basic covid kit ie gloves , a mask , tissues ans alcohol gel , spare tubes and a means of inflating them . suitable clothing for the weather conditions . also some money just in case of a mechanical that cannot be fixed .
