12mph average. Departing 9.30 Shuckburgh Arms Southwick just North of Oundle, a meander around the Nene Valley Cotterstock, Fotheringhay, Nassington then along the lovely road that kind of follows Willow Brook through Kings Cliffe, Blatherwycke, Bulwick, stopping for coffee at New Lodge Farm at 22m. Then off down the hill to go under the picturesque Harringworth Viaduct, returning via Gretton and Deene Park to Southwick for lunch (optional) by around 1.

Note lunch menu is fairly simple - baguettes etc - if you are GF it may be best to call the pub ahead of time. Phone number is on their website first page.

Possible game of petanque on return ...

A lovely ride - new start point and new places for some possibly. A 12mph average ride starting north of Oundle at the pub in Southwick, anticlockwise loop around the villages along the River Nene and Willow Brook and Rockingham Forest. Lovely sights of Fotheringhay, Blatherwycke, Harringworth Viaduct and Deene Park.

All backroads except very briefly A road to cross them.

Coffee stop at New Lodge around 11.30, photo stop Harringworth, and Lunch at the end at Southwick 1pm ish optional. We'll also stop at the top of hills for a re gathering as needed.

Helmets, lights, pump, tubes. Drinks and snacks.

We never leave anyone behind
